Overview Event Operations Supervisor (Waste & Recycling) Rose Quarter | Portland, OR; Temp-to-Hire | Overnight Event Schedule We are seeking an Event Operations Supervisor to lead post-event waste and recycling operations at the Rose Quarter in Portland, with potential future opportunities across additional major venues. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing cleanup crews after concerts, sporting events, and large-scale entertainment events. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and comfortable leading teams in a fast-paced, overnight environment. Responsibilities Supervise and support 10–12 event staff per shift Assign tasks and ensure efficient completion of cleanup operations Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to site expectations Provide on-the-ground leadership and issue resolution during shifts Oversee sorting of trash, recycling, and compost materials Ensure proper handling and organization of all waste streams Support operations at Rose Quarter and Veterans Memorial Coliseum Verify employee attendance and work hours Manage manual time sheets and photo-based verification Submit accurate records for payroll and client invoicing Act as primary point of contact during assigned shifts Communicate with management and staffing partners as needed Assist with staffing coordination for upcoming events Schedule This is an event-based role with a flexible schedule tied to venue activity.
