Job Title: AWS Data Lead

Location: Hybrid | Texas | C2C | 1099 Contract

Overview

This role oversees the design and delivery of cloud-based data solutions using AWS Glue, SQL, Python, DevOps practices, and Snowflake. The position guides technical teams, ensures solution quality, and drives effective data engineering processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a team in building and deploying data solutions with AWS Glue, SQL, Python, DevOps tools, and Snowflake.
Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and solution designs.
Provide coaching, code reviews, and technical standards for the team.
Resolve technical issues quickly to maintain project timelines.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code to improve deployment speed and reliability.
Monitor new technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Required Skills

Strong experience with AWS Glue, SQL, Python, DevOps tooling, and Snowflake.
Skilled in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data integration patterns.
Ability to build efficient, high-performance SQL workloads.
Proficient in Python for automation and data processing.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
