Job Overview:

SAPA Transmission, a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) contractor, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to support the material handling activities between SAPA Transmission, its customers, and Suppliers. The Shipping & Receiving coordinator will work closely with Production, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to source and manage the timely delivery of all components required to assemble transmissions for Army tracked vehicles

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular counts, record data in ERP system, and manage raw material stock to prevent shortages.
• Perform thorough inspections of incoming shipments for accuracy, quantity, and condition, reporting discrepancies to prevent use of faulty materials.
• Prepare efficient pick lists for production orders, including organizing workstations and pre-packaging components.
• Utilize strong organizational skills to manage the flow of materials within our warehouse & S&R dock, including receiving, storing, issuing, picking, packing, crating & shipping parts & supplies
• Ensure efficient shipment processing and customer satisfaction by maintaining accurate shipping documents (bills of lading, packing lists, ASNs).
• Follow safety protocols for loading, unloading, and operating material handling equipment.
• Work effectively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth logistics and address customer inquiries about shipments.
• Responsible for occasional local deliveries or pickups.
• Ensure proper handling and packaging of hazardous materials in compliance with domestic and international regulations.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, overhead hoists, and other tools like power saws, pneumatic nail/staple guns, and banding equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in a shipping and receiving role.
• Ability to: bend, kneel, twist, stand for extended periods, and lift to 35 lbs. regularly.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Vertical Lift Modules (VLM).
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams .
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Proactive attitude towards work, teamwork, and cooperation.
