Engineering Manager, Antenna & RF Hardware

Job DescriptionThe automotive wireless space is evolving rapidly, driven by increasing demands for advanced connectivity technologies including 5G MIMO, Wi-Fi 7, GNSS, V2X,BLE,UWB,NTN,andtraditionalbroadcastsystems.Deliveringworld-classwirelessperformancerequiresbalancingvehiclestyling,aerodynamics,cost,manufacturability,andRFperformancewhilesupportingaggressivevehicledevelopmenttimelines.We are seeking an experienced technical leader to build and lead a team focused on solving complex antenna and RF front-end challenges. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both people leadership and deep technical expertise.Thesuccessfulcandidatewillprovidetechnicaldirection,guideengineeringdecisions,supportproductdevelopment,andremainactivelyinvolvedinantennaandRFdesign,simulation,validation,andproblem-solvingactivitieswhenneeded.ReportingtotheSeniorManager,Antennas,thisindividualwillhelpdefinetechnicalstrategy,navigatecomplexandundefinedproblemspaces,anddrivedata-baseddecisionsthatenablesuccessfulproductexecution.KeyResponsibilitiesTechnical&PeopleLeadershipLead,coach,anddevelopateamofantennaandRFhardwareengineers.EstablishtechnicaldirectionforcomplexantennaandRFfront-enddevelopmentprograms.Guidesimulation,measurement,validation,androot-causeinvestigationstosupportdata-drivendecisionmaking.Fostertechnicalgrowth,careerdevelopment,andhigh-performanceengineeringpracticeswithintheteam.Remainhands-onandcapableofcontributingdirectlytodesign,simulation,testing,andtroubleshootingefforts.RepresentantennaandRFengineeringintechnicalreviews,leadershipdiscussions,andcross-functionalforums.Driveprioritization,resourceplanning,andexecutionacrossmultipledevelopmentprograms.Antenna&RFHardwareDevelopmentLeadthedesignanddevelopmentofantennasystemssupportingcellular,GNSS,Wi-Fi,Bluetooth,V2X,satelliteradio,andemergingwirelesstechnologies.GuideRFfront-endarchitecturedevelopmentincludingLNAs,matchingnetworks,filters,diplexers,multiplexers,andrelatedcircuitfunctionality.Supportelectromagneticsimulation,RFanalysis,andperformanceoptimizationactivities.Ensuresuccessfulcorrelationbetweensimulation,laboratorytesting,andvehicle-levelperformance.Drivedesign-for-manufacturing,design-for-test,andreliabilityconsiderationsthroughoutproductdevelopment.Overseeprototypedevelopment,validationtesting,anddesignverificationactivities.SupportPCBdesignreviews,componentselection,groundingstrategies,shieldingapproaches,andRFperformanceoptimization.Leaddesignanalysisactivitiesincludingtolerancestudies,sensitivityanalysis,andworst-caseperformanceassessments.Cross-FunctionalCollaborationPartnerwithproductteamstodefinetechnologyroadmaps,engineeringrequirements,andexecutionplans.CollaboratewithRFdesenseandwirelesssystemsteamstoaddresscoexistence,interference,andnoise-relatedchallenges.Workcloselywithmechanical,manufacturing,quality,supplychain,test,andsoftwareteamstoensuresuccessfulproductintegration.Engagewithsuppliersandtechnologypartnerstoadvanceantennasolutionsandsupportsourcingstrategies.Influencetechnicaldecisionsacrossvehicleprogramsandensurealignmentwithcustomerexperienceobjectives.RequiredQualificationsMaster'sorPhDinElectricalEngineeringorarelatedSTEMfield.7+ years of overall antenna and/or RF development experience or similar Significantexperienceinantennaand/orRFhardwaredevelopment.ProvensuccessleadingantennaorRFfront-enddesigneffortsfromconceptthroughproduction.Strongtechnicalbackgroundspanningantennadesign,electromagneticsimulation,RFcircuitdesign,andsystem-levelperformanceoptimization.ExperiencewithRF/EMdesignandsimulationtoolssuchasHFSS,CST,ANSYS,ADS,orAWR.Hands-onexperiencewithRFlaboratoryequipmentincludingvectornetworkanalyzers,spectrumanalyzers,signalgenerators,andrelatedmeasurementtools.WorkingknowledgeofantennacharacterizationmethodsandRFperformanceanalysistechniques.Experienceleadingengineeringteamsorprovidingtechnicalleadershipacrosscomplexdevelopmentprograms.Strongproblem-solvingskillsandabilitytonavigateambiguitywhiledrivingengineeringdecisions.Excellentcommunicationandstakeholdermanagementskills.PreferredQualificationsAdvanceddegreeinElectricalEngineering,RF/MicrowaveEngineering,orrelateddiscipline.Experiencewithvehicle-levelRFdesenseandmulti-radiocoexistencechallenges.Priorpeopleleadershipexperiencewithinautomotive,electronics,telecommunications,orhigh-reliabilityindustries.Knowledgeofautomotivequalification,EMC,andESDrequirements.Demonstratedinnovationthroughpatents,publications,ornovelengineeringsolutions.Familiaritywithautomotiveproductdevelopmentprocessesandprogrammilestones.Strongpresentation,communication,andprojectmanagementskills.WhatYou'llBringDeepexpertiseinantennaandRFhardwaredesign.Strongtechnicalleadershipandmentoringcapabilities.Abilitytotranslatecomplexproblemsintoactionableengineeringplans.Acollaborativeapproachtosolvingcross-functionalchallenges.Passionfordevelopinginnovativeconnectivitysolutionsthatenhancethecustomerexperience.Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as geography of the selected candidate. • The salary range for this role is (159,400 - 245,000).
