Job Title: Nurse Assistant - Discharge Support Specialist
Location: Willis-Knighton North
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM-7:00 PM (Full-time)

Position Summary
We are looking for a positive, team-oriented Nurse Assistant to serve as a Discharge Support Specialist. This role is focused on creating a smooth and supportive discharge experience for patients and families. The right person will bring energy, compassion, and a strong patient-first attitude every day.

Key Responsibilities

Assist patients with discharge preparation, including dressing and gathering personal belongings
Pack patient items and ensure all belongings leave safely with the patient
Provide clear, friendly education about the Discharge Lobby process
Escort or coordinate patient flow to the discharge area as needed
Communicate effectively with nursing staff and care teams to support timely discharges
Maintain a positive, welcoming environment for patients and families during the discharge process

Qualifications

Experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay organized and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Most importantly: a consistently positive attitude and patient-centered mindset
