CNA – Skilled Nursing Facility – Days

Location: Palmer, Alaska
Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Shift: Days
Shift Time: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Shift Length: 12 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW) as needed

Position Summary

We are seeking multiple Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for day-shift positions in a skilled nursing facility. CNAs will provide compassionate, high-quality direct care to residents while supporting their daily needs and overall well-being.

Candidates must be available to work 36 guaranteed hours per week and every other weekend as needed. Selected candidates will also participate in the facility's interview process to ensure a good fit with the care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and assistance to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Assist residents with transfers, mobility, ambulation, and repositioning.
• Obtain and document vital signs as required.
• Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition to nursing staff.
• Follow individualized care plans and facility procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
• Support infection-control practices and safety protocols.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Current Alaska CNA certification required.
• Temporary CNA certifications are not accepted.
• Alaska Compact eligibility or an active Alaska CNA license is required.
• Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred.
• Must be available to work day shifts.
• Must be willing to work every other weekend as needed.
• Must be available to participate in the facility's interview process.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
