Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Neurology EEG Technician to join our client's dynamic neurology team. In this role, you will perform high-quality electroencephalogram (EEG) tests-including routine, sleep-deprived, and long-term monitoring-to capture brain activity. You will be crucial in diagnosing neurological conditions such as epilepsy, strokes, brain tumors, and sleep disorders.


Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care & Preparation: Greet patients, explain procedures to alleviate anxiety, and review patient history. Measure and apply electrodes using standard international 10-20 systems.
• EEG Acquisition: Perform routine, portable, and Long-Term Monitoring (LTM) EEG studies in accordance with ASET guidelines.
• Data Quality Control: Monitor patient EEG data, recognize artifacts, and take steps to eliminate them. Utilize activation procedures such as hyperventilation and photic stimulation.
• Documentation & Analysis: Review and annotate EEG recordings, documenting clinical events (seizures, movement) and pertinent patient behavior.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of EEG equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology

Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years in EEG experience
