About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 3 years preferred; will consider candidates with 2 years of experience License: Active RN license in the state Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience Description: Intermediate Care RN for Day shift position. 36 hours per week with every other weekend required. Holiday shifts are required as scheduled. Floating within the specialty and lower acuity may be required. Average daily census on the unit is 22 patients. The patient ratio is 1:4. Common patient diagnoses include cardiac and respiratory conditions. Special procedures include management of Precedex gtt, insulin gtt, Hi-flow oxygen, bi-paps, chest tubes, and post-cardiac catheterization care. Skills required include accessing and managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, and central line care. Experience in managing both short-term and long-term heart-related patients is necessary. Candidates must be comfortable with various medical interventions and have experience with telemetry monitoring.
