Diesel Mechanic

Description Power Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a hardworking, career-oriented person of good character to fill a Diesel Mechanic position within our organization. Responsibilities Inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and electrical troubleshooting of diesel engines, transmission, brake systems, steering systems and cooling systems on heavy equipment and vehicles Analyzing equipment and vehicle malfunctions Repairing malfunctions with proper solutions Dismantling and reassembling heavy equipment and vehicles using hoists and hand tools Cleaning, lubricating, and performing routine maintenance on heavy equipment and vehicles Adhering to all safety regulations The ability to life 75+ lbs. Using electronic diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting repairs Requirements This position requires: High school diploma or an equivalent; post-secondary training in diesel technology is preferred Basic math skills with a proficiency in geometry and algebra Ability to work independently Excellent customer service Effective communication skills Ability to read, comprehend, and utilize manufacturer manuals for heavy equipment and vehicle repairs Candidate should be willing and able to learn, be dependable, and have a good work ethic. This position is fulltime and requires overtime. A candidate with non-essential abilities, such as welding certifications, or who has a mechanical or electrical background is preferred. Employee will quickly learn the industry as they progress in their position. We focus on character and adaptability so the applicant must have a professional demeanor, be punctual, and a team player who is focused and self-driven.
