Ultrasound Technologist, Per Diem Weekend Shifts, Radiology

Position Overview White Oak Medical Center seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to provide imaging services and support the care of patients in a faith‑based environment. Responsibilities Prepare the exam room and ultrasound equipment for examinations. Assist radiologists with ultrasound‑guided biopsies and vascular ultrasound procedures. Recognize and record appropriate anatomy and pathology using sonographic equipment. Maintain and care for sonography equipment, reporting any equipment failure. Write reports based upon the scan results. Alert medical staff of any abnormalities requiring immediate attention. Apply problem‑solving skills and make decisions as required. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program. 1 year scanning experience preferred. RDMS certification within 1 year of hire. Vascular certification preferred. Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Work Schedule Employment Type: Per Diem Hours per Week: 12 hrs./week Typical Daily Schedule: 1:30 pm – 12:00 am. Shift Type: Evening Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend Holiday Requirements: Follow company holiday calendar Shift Differential Eligible: Yes Pay Per diem position with a rate of $50 per hour.
