Opportunity:

RN - Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse

Job Details:

• Work in a Level III NICU caring for patient types including micropreemies, infections, respiratory distress, NAS, and level 3 patients (no major surgeries)
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3 on both day and night shifts
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Time off requests of up to 7 days may be approved
• May float to PEDS unit to care for NICU babies
• 1 to 2 years of experience required
• Experience at a Level III NICU required
• Required skills include oxygen therapy, nitric oxide, CPAP, chest tube, care of micro preemies, experience with intubated and vented neonates, and delivery experience
• Transport experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP; STABLE preferred
• Charting and equipment includes EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis
• Orientation includes general hospital orientation and 1 shift on the unit
• Unit support includes CNA (1:18 ratio), phlebotomy for lab draws, charge nurse takes an assignment, and Neonatologist and NP in house 24/7
• Bedside telemetry and nurses station telemetry monitoring with no telemetry tech
• Scrubs: Any color
• Parking: Free

This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility featuring 167 beds and offering a wide range of specialized services. The facility holds designations as a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Level III Maternity Center, and Primary Stroke Center, reflecting its commitment to delivering high-quality, specialized care across multiple disciplines. The NICU unit itself operates with 18 beds and is supported by a dedicated team including neonatologists and nurse practitioners available in house around the clock.
