Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit (3 East) Primary Patient Population Inpatient Oncology (16 dedicated patient beds) Cross‑trained for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Medical/Surgical Overflow Primary Skills Utilized/learned IV medication therapy, blood product transfusion, pain management Hospice and palliative care Ability to obtain Chemotherapy Certification Time management, critical thinking, delegating Personnel RN Will Work With LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers Number Of Beds On Unit 30 beds Awards Or Recognitions The Unit Has Received Nurses’ Week Interprofessional Collaboration Award Winners Benefits MetroHealth offers industry‑leading benefits, including tuition reimbursement, professional certification incentives, and medical/dental insurance.
