Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Medical Oncology Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit

SCHEDULE
D/N rotating shifts (12s may include days, nights, or combination)

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Total Orientation: 72 hours (Week 1 - Mon-Fri days; Week 2 - 36 hours on-unit with preceptor)

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred (must have at least 1 year of current specialty experience for clinical pass)
- Must meet experience requirements within the most recent 3 years
- Current and valid RN license for the state
- BLS (BCLS) and ACLS required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Experience with telemetry, medication administration, and critical assessment

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high-acuity patient care in a telemetry and progressive care environment
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings to identify dysrhythmias
- Administer medications and manage blood products per protocols
- Support patients with respiratory needs and non-invasive airway support
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in code and rapid response team activations

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- One pre-approved time off request permitted per contract
- Strict fingerprinting process required with a compliance deadline prior to start
