The Pediatric physician will provide direct patient care. Candidates should also be able to effectively collaborate with referring physicians, agencies and other professionals to provide optimum care for each patient.Position Highlights:Outpatient opportunity with shared hospital on-call duties for McLane Children’s patients, including newborns. No delivery attendance required. Call is shared among all physicians in the group.After-hour clinic patient care calls only reach the physician after being screened by our excellent after-hours nurse triage phone line and on-call pediatric resident physicians which handle more than 99% of the calls.Opportunity to supervise, oversee and teach medical students, interns, and residents rotating through the department and division.Flexible scheduling options that allow for excellent work/life balance.Mixture of virtual and in-person patient visits.The ability to utilize ground-breaking technological tools that assist the physicians in minimizing documentation burden.About McLane Children’s Medical Center:Our five-story McLane Children's Specialty Clinic is located next to our free-standing Children's Hospital in Temple, Texas. The hospital features include112 patient beds: forty-eight private medical/surgical rooms, sixteen private Pediatric ICU rooms and a 24-hour, level II pediatric emergency department and verified trauma center equipped to deal with the most serious pediatric trauma cases.
