Store Manager in Training

Store Manager In Training (SMIT) Program Overview The SMIT program is a 16‑week development focused role that prepares participants for a Store Manager position at CVS Health. Participants receive virtual and hands‑on learning and support from a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach. Key Responsibilities & Skills Communicate verbally and in writing to support and lead the team. Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service. Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth. Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Actively engage with leaders in key learning experiences to support promotion path. Support the store as a management team member and lead consistently with CVS values and policies. Engage colleagues in supporting the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health. Be willing to accept promotion roles within the market. Qualifications High School diploma or GED (required). Bachelor's Degree (preferred or considered in lieu of a degree). Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. Willingness to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs. Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market. Compensation Anticipated Weekly Hours: 45 Time Type: Full time Pay Range: $18.50 - $26.25 per hour (base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary). Actual offer depends on experience, education, geography and other factors.
