General Description


Maintenance Manager leads an organization's repair, upkeep, and installation of facilities, equipment, and grounds, focusing on minimizing downtime and ensuring safety by following procedures, managing budgets, supervising teams, scheduling preventive maintenance, handling repairs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, often requiring technical knowledge and strong leadership. They oversee daily operations, troubleshoot issues, manage inventory, and coordinate with vendors to keep assets running efficiently and support overall business operations.


Work Schedule:

• Requires morning, afternoon and evenings. Monday through Sunday.
• Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval by supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and budgets.
• Train, schedule, supervise, and motivate maintenance staff.
• Oversee all maintenance, repair, and installation activities, including Walk-up restaurant and dining areas, truck stop operations, RV parking, trucker lounge, laundry, and showers, guest restrooms for both restaurant and casino areas, back-of-house, mechanical, storage, and administrative spaces. Exterior grounds, parking lots, lighting, and signage. Does not perform or oversee work on gaming machines or gaming electronics.
• Ensure machinery, systems, and facilities are in optimal working condition.
• Enforce health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Maintains clean, hazard-free work areas throughout the property.
• Performs scheduled safety inspections of: Fire suppression systems, Emergency lighting and exits, Fuel pump emergency shutoff systems, HVAC systems, water heaters, and boilers.
• Ensures immediate correction of any safety or facility hazards.
• Coordinate with external vendors and manage spare parts inventory.
• Track expenses, monitor progress, and report to management.
• Ensure overall cleanliness and maintenance of casino gaming floor, facilities, exterior, and interior of all facilities
• Maintain inventory control of maintenance supplies, tools and electrical/mechanical equipment as needed.
• Maintain supplies, tools and equipment orders as needed with proper approval.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of any mechanical equipment is maintained and ready for use
• Ensure staff operates tools/equipment and use of chemicals in a safe manner.
• Ensure the scheduling and approval of all maintenance staff according to business.
• Ensure the communication with all department managers/supervisors, emails
• Ensure the performance reviews, disciplinary action, and coaching/training as necessary to maintenance staff.
• Must exhibit STAR treatment to all customers and employees.
• Reviews and approves payroll for the maintenance department.
• Documents and reports Workers' Compensation claims.
• Completes incident reports as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Job Requirements:

• Ability to stand or walk for full shifts.
• Ability to perform light to heavy labor, including lifting 75+ lbs., bending, climbing ladders, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Capability to operate power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance machinery.

Qualification Standards:

• Must pass pre-employment drug test.
• Must maintain valid Cheyenne and Arapaho Gaming License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of, Electrical, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and HVAC systems, Restaurant equipment and building maintenance, Fuel pump systems, safety, and basic repair processes. Building codes, health standards, and energy conservation practices.
• Associate's degree or vocational training preferred; relevant experience accepted.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
