Material Handler

Material Movement and Order PickingThe primary responsibility for Material Movement and Order Picking is to pick materials and parts for internal assembly operations and customer orders. This role provides a crucial link between Receiving, Inventory, Assembly, Parts Fulfillment, and Shipping. Attention to Detail and Sense of Urgency are critical soft skills necessary for success in this position.Character Qualifications:Innovation – We create a culture of relentless improvement of solutions and processes to make every day better.Integrity – We are open, honest, and committed to giving the straight story every time.Service - We serve our clients, families, communities, and most importantly our people who are empowered and safe in making decisions and taking actions that dare to make us better.Ownership - We take full, personal, individual responsibility for our actions and our work.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Efficiently pick materials and parts for internal assembly operations and customer orders using material pick listsVerify order fulfillment accuracy by comparing pick list documents to materials in a box or on a skidPackage parts to meet customer requirements, including placing parts in boxes, applying labels, using packing materialsOperate forklift or other material handling equipment in and around warehousePerform work in accordance with Company safety rules and guidelinesFollow department processes, procedures, and work instructionsOther duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or GED EquivalentPrevious work experience as an order picker or material handlerPrevious experience operating material handling equipment, i.e. forklift, hand truckAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings/prints, and procedure manuals.Critical Soft Skills: Detail-Oriented, Sense of Urgency, Effectiveness in Pressure SituationsPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:Fives Intralogistics is a manufacturer of automated sorting equipment.
