About the Role:

The Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance systems overseeing the continuous improvement of the process and executing long-term strategic plans.

Responsibilities:

• Observes mechanical equipment in operation to locate causes of trouble
• Schedule trains supervise and motivate employees for maintenance tasks
• Coordinate work performed by outside vendors
• Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates
• Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and parts
• Control and monitor inventory
• Dismantles equipment to remove and replace defective parts
• Adjusts functional parts of equipment and control instruments
• Ensure that all equipment complies with OEMs and regulatory agencies operating standards
• Ensures proper equipment lubrication in compliance with OEMs lubrication schedule
• Follows preventive maintenance works order procedures
• Develop familiarity with and ensure compliance with safety health environment and community company policies and procedures as they pertain to facility operations and equipment usage and operation
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Technical School Preferred
• Previous supervisory skills in a diverse fast-paced manufacturing/production environment
• Excellent mechanical ability and strong analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and work from a set of written instructions
• Basic computer skills
• Must speak and understand English; Spanish speaking is a plus
• One year minimum mechanical repair related experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent combination of education and experience

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Normal work environment is outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions dirt high levels of noise smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions including PPE.

• The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear.
• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
