Business Development & Senior PM - Transportation Full-time, Ohio, DCS, AECOM Technical Services Inc, Transportation, Hybrid work location, Columbus, OH, Compensation USD 145,000 – 200,000 yearly. We are seeking a highly talented Business Development & Project Manager - Transportation for immediate employment in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, or Akron, Ohio. The role will oversee and manage active project and program tasks and teams, business development, and support for other Transportation projects. Responsibilities Formulate and execute project opportunity capture strategies, including teaming and positioning for strategic pursuits and identification of required staff resources to win and effectively deliver projects and programs. Business development including prospecting and proposal development with established relationships with local clients, including ODOT and local agency specifications, policies, and procedures. Establish relationships with both external and internal clients, build and maintain relationships with project owners. Be a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally. Proven track record with client account management, project pursuit execution, and engineering staff development. Provide management and guidance to staff, enforce company and project policies, and serve as a primary liaison between AECOM and clients and stakeholders. Manage and mentor staff to facilitate effective project and program delivery and promote staff development. Responsible for administering projects and programs from inception through contract closeout, including establishing specific objectives and policies, adherence to the scope, schedule and budget, risk management, and change management. Demonstrate analytical, technical, and communication (oral and written) skills. Approve and sign off on work. Provide technical expertise for studies and design efforts. Present complex technical solutions to clients. Perform quality control reviews of work developed by others. Participate in development of technical proposals. Serve as a strong technical resource to act as a technical advisor. Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise. Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high‑quality, cost‑effective work by others. Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Use expertise in all steps of completing discipline components of PA/ED and PS&E package. Prepare technical specification sections. Provide input for the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. BA/BS + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering. Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio or ability to obtain one within 6 months. 6+ years of progressive experience designing and delivering projects. 5 years’ experience with proposal and business development, client presentations and relationship development. Experience with Design Build delivery for final design. Design Build Project Experience. Project Management experience in transportation projects. Ability to proactively communicate and lead department staff. Established relationships with local clients: 5+ years of experience and familiarity with Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Ohio Cities & Counties including local agency specifications, policies, and procedures.
