Environmental Resource Specialist.

Duties Apply concepts and techniques in biological, physical, and ecological sciences to support a variety of projects. Assist with determining the potential impacts of proposed activities on wetlands and wildlife resources. Develop short‑ and long‑term mitigation plans to minimize adverse effects on the environment and assist with preparing reports. Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must sign a mobility agreement if selected. Must sign an Army Fellows Participant Agreement if selected. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre‑Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. A Personnel Security Investigation is required. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or a related discipline, completed by June 2026. Alternative qualifications: a combination of education and experience, graduate‑level education, Superior Academic Achievement (SAA), or a combination of these, provided the cumulative requirements meet or exceed 100 % as outlined in the original specification. Specialized experience: One year of experience assisting in applying biological, physical, and ecological science concepts to projects; or determining impacts on wetlands and wildlife resources; or developing mitigation plans. Eligibility U.S. citizen. Foreign‑educated candidates may be considered if credentials are evaluated by a recognized private organization and deemed equivalent to an accredited U.S. program. Benefits Direct deposit of pay is required. Salary includes applicable locality pay or local market supplement.
