Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable  Accounting Specialist  to join our accounting team. This entry-level accounting position is responsible for processing accounts payable transactions, managing customer refunds, maintaining financial records, performing bookkeeping activities, and supporting daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payment of vendors.
• Review, verify, and process customer refunds and related documentation.
• Perform bookkeeping functions, including recording financial transactions and maintaining accounting records.
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting files and supporting documentation.
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments and account balances.
• Prepare reports and spreadsheets as requested.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Provide general accounting and administrative support to the Finance Department.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of two (3) years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or related experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with accounting software.
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Experience in a multi-entity or service-based organization.

• Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping practices.
• Ability to analyze and reconcile financial information.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
