Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC (must be from AHA) Must-Have: Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the emergency department. The facility is a level III trauma center with state-of-the-art operating suites. It serves a diverse patient population including those with ESRD, cirrhosis, and psychiatric disorders. The department has a total of 48 beds with a structured patient ratio of 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in the fast track. Equipment utilized includes Zoll defibrillators, blood transfusion devices, and ultrasound-guided IV equipment. The emergency department follows a team nursing and pod system with a social worker and unit educator available. Common diagnoses treated include COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain. Candidates should have experience in emergency medicine, particularly with trauma cases. Behavioral and psychological disorders are also common in the patient population. An active RN ADN is required for this role. Teamwork and collaboration are essential for providing high-quality care. The role includes an expectation to work a minimum of two weekends per schedule.
