Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year pediatric hospital experience, 1 year travel experience License: Acceptance of pending state license with ETA Certifications: BLS/CPR, PALS Must-Have: Willingness to accept PACU or PICU RNs for the position. For PICU candidates, PACU experience is not required. Manager will provide training to transition into PACU. Must be available to work weekends with full scheduling flexibility. Must carry national certifications: BLS/CPR (AHA) and PALS (AHA). 1 call shift required per weeknight or 1 call shift every other weekend as needed. 1 holiday call may be required. Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric PACU. Candidates with PICU or PACU experience are encouraged to apply. The manager is open to training PICU nurses in PACU skills. Strong emphasis on pediatric experience is essential for this position. Candidates should possess experience in airway management, ventilation, and cardiac monitoring. The unit operates with a patient ratio of 1:1-2 for PACU. The PACU is a fast-paced environment with high standards of care. Flexibility regarding on-call shifts is essential. The ideal candidate should be proficient in pain management and discharge instructions. Duties will include assessing and managing pediatric patients post-surgery. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team are required. Continuous education and adaptation to new practices are encouraged.
