Software Engineer (Early Career)

Early Career Software Engineer – Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer. In this role, you will develop software for avionics, vehicle/mission systems, and simulations. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of C and C++, Agile Software Development processes, and experience with software/hardware integration. Must be a U.S. citizen. This position requires a government security clearance and is located at a facility that requires special access. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering. Proficient in C and C++. Experience with Linux Development Environment. Desired Skills Ability to build and maintain relationships and collaborate effectively with others. Experience integrating hardware and software. Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, RTP). Experience with Python or other similar scripting languages. Experience with version control, e.g., git, gitlab, bitbucket. Security Clearance Title: Secret clearance required. Eligibility: U.S. citizen only. Location & Schedule Onsite full-time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Compensation & Benefits Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position varies by location: for California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, and Washington DC it is $62,700 – $110,630. For major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York it is $72,200 – $125,005. The exact salary for other states reflects the candidate’s final work location. The position is incentive plan eligible.
