The Hambrick Center for Counseling and Biofeedback is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist to provide clinical oversight, advisory support, and psychiatric guidance for the organization. This role is designed for a licensed physician who can support the facility’s medical and behavioral health operations by advising on psychiatric care, medical necessity, treatment protocols, assessments, and provider supervision.

The Psychiatrist will provide oversight to help ensure that clinical services are delivered within the appropriate scope of practice, consistent with applicable standards of care, and aligned with facility policies and treatment objectives. This position may include reviewing and authorizing medical necessity protocols, supporting clinical assessments, advising on treatment planning, and providing guidance for withdrawal management when clinically indicated.

The Psychiatrist will also supervise and collaborate with mid-level providers, counselors, therapists, and other clinical team members to ensure coordinated, ethical, and clinically sound patient care. This is a part-time role with remote flexibility, though occasional consultation, documentation review, or case collaboration may be required.

• Provide psychiatric oversight and advisory support for clinical operations.
• Review, advise on, and authorize medical necessity protocols when appropriate.
• Support psychiatric assessments, diagnostic review, and treatment planning.
• Provide guidance on withdrawal management protocols when clinically indicated.
• Ensure the facility operates within appropriate scope-of-practice standards.
• Supervise, consult with, and provide clinical guidance to mid-level providers.
• Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and behavioral health professionals.
• Advise on psychiatric care protocols, clinical documentation, and quality assurance.
• Participate in case reviews and clinical consultations as needed.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable medical, ethical, and professional standards.
• Support the development and refinement of policies related to psychiatric care, behavioral health treatment, patient safety, and clinical oversight.

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry.
• Active and unrestricted medical license.
• Experience providing psychiatric care, clinical supervision, or medical oversight.
• Strong understanding of mental health treatment, psychiatric assessment, and behavioral health protocols.
• Knowledge of medical necessity standards, treatment authorization processes, and clinical documentation requirements.
• Experience supervising or collaborating with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, or other mid-level providers.
• Experience with adolescent psychiatry is preferred.
• Experience with telepsychiatry or remote clinical consultation is a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Ability to provide sound clinical judgment in an advisory and oversight capacity.

• Experience working with outpatient mental health, counseling, substance-use, or integrative behavioral health programs.
• Familiarity with withdrawal management, crisis assessment, and higher-acuity behavioral health presentations.
• Experience helping facilities maintain compliant clinical operations and proper provider scope of practice.
• Prior experience serving as a medical director, collaborating psychiatrist, supervising psychiatrist, or clinical advisor is highly preferred.
