Exciting Opportunity for Staff RN in Surgical Med/Surg / PCU - FT - Nights Job Description: - Position: Staff RN - Shift: 7pm - 7:30am - Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year preferred - Certifications: - PALS - BLS/BCLS - ACLS Key Responsibilities: - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process. - Supervise and provide direction to co-workers while delegating appropriate tasks. - Deliver quality care based on patient assessments and established plans. - Educate patients and their families/significant others from admission to discharge. - Maintain thorough, concise, accurate, and legible documentation of the nursing process. - Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status. - Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately. - Implement physician orders as written. - Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care and report malfunctions promptly. Physical Requirements: - Capacity: Heavy work, requiring exerting 50 to 100 pounds occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and 10 to 20 pounds constantly. - Must manage urgent situations calmly and communicate empathetically with patients.
