The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Finance - Manufacturing & FP&A will serve as the senior finance business partner to Co-Manufacturing and lead the planning and performance management agenda for the broader Supply Chain organization. This role connects operating plans, manufacturing economics, and company financial targets to create a clear and integrated view of supply chain performance.

Operating in a fast-moving and evolving environment, this senior manager will own supply chain budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and analysis of actual results while providing financial leadership on conversion costs, productivity, capacity, yield, labor, overhead, and capital investment. The role will challenge assumptions, clarify trade-offs, and translate complex operating data into recommendations for senior leaders.

This position will help build a scalable Supply Chain Finance function by establishing consistent planning standards, strengthening co-manufacturing cost visibility, and developing analytical talent. Success requires strong judgment, executive communication, and the ability to balance cost, service, margin, working capital, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Supply Chain FP&A & Performance Management

• Own the annual budget, rolling forecast, and long-range planning processes for Supply Chain, coordinating assumptions, timelines, inputs, and deliverables across Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Accounting, and Corporate FP&A.
• Lead monthly and quarterly Supply Chain performance reviews, explaining results versus budget, forecast, and prior periods and identifying the actions required to address risks or capture opportunities.
• Integrate manufacturing, sourcing, logistics, inventory, and volume assumptions into a cohesive financial outlook that connects operational plans to COGS, gross margin, EBITDA, working capital, and cash flow.
• Represent Supply Chain Finance in S&OP / IBP and other operating rhythms, ensuring decisions are financially grounded and reflected in current forecasts.
• Lead scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis across demand, mix, cost, capacity, inventory, service, and network assumptions.
• Deliver executive-ready reporting that highlights trends, explains performance drivers, and communicates a clear point of view on Supply Chain performance.

Co-Manufacturing Finance & Decision Support

• Serve as the lead finance partner to Co-Manufacturing leadership, providing financial guidance on manufacturing costs, productivity, capacity, yield, labor, overhead, and capital investment.
• Own analysis of cost per unit, conversion costs, labor productivity, capacity utilization, plant efficiency, scrap, and yield variances across the co-manufacturing network.
• Develop and govern should-cost models for co-manufacturing toll estimates, contract negotiations, true-ups, and supplier decisions.
• Identify, quantify, prioritize, and track manufacturing productivity and cost-reduction initiatives; validate realized savings and ensure benefits are reflected in forecasts.
• Evaluate capacity investments, network optimization, make-versus-buy decisions, and co-manufacturing alternatives through disciplined business cases and scenario analysis.
• Provide financial support for capital expenditures, including ROI, payback, sensitivity analysis, approval support, and post-investment performance tracking.
• Partner with Accounting to strengthen co-manufacturing cost validation, accrual, allocation, and close processes.

Leadership & Functional Development

• Set priorities and provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and quality review for analysts supporting manufacturing and Supply Chain FP&A.
• Establish consistent planning, reporting, modeling, and documentation standards that improve accuracy, transparency, and scalability.
• Build trusted relationships with senior Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, and Co-Manufacturing leaders and influence decisions without direct authority.
• Raise financial acumen across business teams by connecting operational metrics to financial outcomes and creating accountability for commitments.
• Proactively identify emerging risks and opportunities and provide clear recommendations when information is incomplete or trade-offs are complex.

Skills & Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
• 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including meaningful experience in supply chain finance, operations finance, manufacturing finance, or FP&A.
• Demonstrated experience owning complex budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and performance management processes.
• Strong command of manufacturing economics, COGS, standard costing, productivity, yield, labor, overhead, capacity, inventory, working capital, and capital investment analysis.
• Experience leading analysts, developing talent, and setting quality standards across complex workstreams.
• Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, food, manufacturing, retail, or another inventory-intensive business strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to translate operational and financial data into concise insights, recommendations, and executive-level narratives.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with strong judgment and the ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills required; experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is a plus.
• Experience with ERP and financial planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Anaplan, or comparable platforms.
• Experience with co-manufacturing networks, S&OP / IBP, should-cost modeling, or capital planning is strongly preferred.

Location and Travel:

The position will be based onsite in Walnut Creek, CA. We strongly believe in the power of culture and community and have a hybrid work structure with 4 days in the office on a weekly basis to encourage collaboration and personal connections that will allow us to better serve our customers and consumer and to have more fun. Fridays are flex days with employees having the opportunity to choose to be either in the office or to work from home based on what makes most sense for them.

Pay Transparency:

The expected starting salary range for this role is $160,000- $180,000 per year. The salary range posted for this role reflects the good-faith base pay range Kinder's reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting and may vary based on the location of the role. Individual compensation within the posted range will be determined based on factors such as relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, and business needs.
