The PRN OR Nurse - Ortho and Spine plays a crucial role in providing specialized perioperative care within a dedicated orthopedic and spine team. This position involves assisting in surgeries and supporting patient recovery, ensuring high standards of care in orthopedic and spine procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in orthopedic and spine surgical procedures following established protocols
• Prepare and maintain operating room environment for orthopedic and spine cases
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any perioperative complications
• Collaborate with the dedicated orthopedic and spine team to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Educate patients and families on preoperative and postoperative care
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years in orthopedic and spine nursing
• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Proficiency in orthopedic nursing and spine care techniques
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Effective communication, time management, and teamwork abilities
