Build the future of high-performance car wash systems.

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Car Wash Tunnel Installer / Welder to join our growing installation team. This is a hands-on skilled-trade position responsible for the installation, welding, fabrication, assembly, alignment, testing, and commissioning of state-of-the-art express tunnel car wash systems.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, solid welding and fabrication skills, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and equipment specifications. You will work on large-scale commercial projects, installing complex conveyor systems, structural components, arches, dryers, pumps, chemical systems, vacuums, and other specialized car wash equipment.

This position is ideal for an experienced welder, fabricator, millwright, mechanical installer, industrial equipment installer, or skilled tradesperson who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, traveling to project sites, and taking pride in seeing a complex project come together from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Welding & Fabrication

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding as required for structural and equipment installation.
• Fabricate, modify, and repair steel components, brackets, frames, supports, equipment mounts, and other mechanical assemblies.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, blueprints, and measurements.
• Perform field modifications and custom fabrication when site conditions require adjustments.
• Measure, cut, fit, tack, weld, grind, and finish steel components to required specifications.
• Ensure welds and fabricated components meet company quality standards and project specifications.
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure proper alignment, dimensions, elevations, and equipment positioning.
• Identify fabrication or installation issues and develop practical field solutions.

Tunnel Equipment Installation

• Install and assemble express tunnel car wash systems according to engineering drawings, project plans, and manufacturer specifications.
• Install conveyor systems, chains, rollers, motors, arches, dryers, pumps, vacuums, chemical delivery systems, water systems, and related equipment.
• Install structural steel, equipment supports, brackets, platforms, guards, and mechanical components.
• Perform equipment alignment, leveling, anchoring, and final adjustments.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical connections.
• Install piping, hoses, tubing, fittings, valves, and support systems as required.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other job-site equipment safely.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, installation manuals, equipment layouts, and technical documentation.

Testing, Troubleshooting & Commissioning

• Inspect completed installations for proper fit, alignment, operation, and workmanship.
• Test equipment and systems prior to customer turnover.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, structural, pneumatic, hydraulic, and equipment-related issues.
• Make necessary adjustments, repairs, and field modifications.
• Assist with startup, calibration, commissioning, and final system testing.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, electricians, plumbers, customers, and other trades to resolve installation issues.
• Complete punch-list items and ensure projects are ready for customer operation.

Safety & Quality

• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and job-site safety procedures.
• Properly use PPE and maintain safe welding, cutting, lifting, and equipment-operation practices.
• Inspect tools and equipment before use and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
• Protect customer property and maintain a high standard of workmanship.
• Complete work accurately while maintaining project schedules and installation deadlines.
• Take ownership of the quality and appearance of completed installations.

Qualifications

• Welding and/or fabrication experience required.
• Experience with mechanical, industrial, commercial, or equipment installation preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability.
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, align, and install components.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and installation problems independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a project installation team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Willingness and ability to travel to customer project sites.
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, or varying schedules when project requirements demand.
• Ability to lift and carry 75+ pounds.
• Ability to work from ladders, elevated platforms, lifts, and other elevated work areas.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Physical & Work Requirements

This is a physically demanding, hands-on skilled-trade position. The successful candidate must be able to:

• Lift, carry, push, and pull heavy equipment and materials.
• Lift and carry up to 75+ pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in awkward positions for extended periods.
• Work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
• Work around moving machinery, construction equipment, water, chemicals, electrical systems, and industrial equipment while following required safety procedures.
• Work in both indoor and outdoor environments
