A Day in the Life of a P&C Insurance Service Rep

In this role, you'll be the friendly, knowledgeable voice clients hear when they call in with questions about their insurance coverage. You'll dig into policy details, help clients understand their options, and work hand-in-hand with sales agents to make sure every client's coverage fits their needs. It's a role where your communication skills and problem-solving instincts directly shape the client experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Building a strong understanding of the company's insurance products and services
• Responding promptly and professionally to calls, emails, and customer inquiries
• Reviewing customer accounts, policy details, and coverage schedules
• Explaining policy details, coverage options, and related services clearly to clients
• Preparing, processing, and distributing policy documents and correspondence
• Coordinating with sales agents on new, updated, or expanded policies
• Proactively checking in with existing clients to review needs and spot opportunities for additional coverage
• Preparing and managing quotes for new business, and requoting existing clients as needed
• Maintaining accurate client records and drafting professional email communications
• Using sound judgment to resolve client concerns and support a great customer experience
• Office hours: 8:30 am - 5 pm, Monday-Friday

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Active Property and Casualty insurance license required
• 2-5+ years of experience in Customer Service or an Insurance role
• Industry experience in insurance or financial services
• Professional, courteous demeanor with a strong commitment to client service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills, especially under pressure
• Comfort with basic computer applications and database systems
