Job Title: Director of Operations

Reports to: Executive Director

Department: Administration

Status: Full Time/Exempt

Job Summary:

The Director of Operations provides oversight of the organization’s daily business activities. The Director of Operations is responsible for managing its resources, developing and implementing an operational plan and ensuring that procedures are carried out properly. Additionally, the Director of Operations regularly evaluates organizational efficiency and makes necessary changes to maximize staff productivity. The Director of Operations assesses the needs of the Organization and finds ways to contribute by ensuring the daily operations run smoothly and as efficiently as possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide day to day clinic leadership for clinic operations by guiding and directing the

· development, smooth operations of the organization’s services.

· Directly supervise the operations management team of the organization.

· Maintain exceptional level of customer service; address and resolve complaints; serve as an

· example by providing excellent service to internal and external customers, employees and

· clients. Ensure staff is trained periodically on customer service expectations.

· Direct or coordinate an organization’s financial or budget activities to fund operations,

· maximize investments or increase efficiency.

· Analyze operations to evaluate performance of a company or its staff in meeting objective or

· to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.

· Direct, plan, or implement policies, objectives, or activities of organizations or businesses to

· ensure continuing operations, to maximize returns on investments, or to increase

· productivity.

· Prepare budgets for approval, including those for funding or implementation of programs

· Assures consistency of operations and compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and safety

· standards defined by regulatory and accreditation agencies.

· Confer with Executive Management Team, organization officials, or staff members to discuss

· issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problem

· Implement corrective actions plans to solve organizational departmental problems

· Establish departmental responsibilities and coordinate functions among departments and

· sites.

· Working with the human resource department to create job descriptions, hire competent

· personnel and oversee employee training programs

Personnel

Responsible for supervision of staff including determining staffing requirements, recruiting, interviewing, and selecting new employees; communicating and enforcing Apex Recovery LLC policies and procedures; preparing and conducting employee performance evaluations in a timely manner; addressing and resolving employee related issues; coaching, counseling and disciplining staff in accordance with the HR policies and procedures. Establish and maintain a highly functional corporate organization by ensuring that managerial staff are properly trained and developed to operate the organization.

· Keep reporting managers informed of all relevant information, policies/procedures and controls that will allow them to operate with maximum efficiency and keep channels of communication open while maintaining confidential data without improper disclosure.

· Monitors compliance to organizational policies and procedures

· Assists in the identification of gaps and barriers in compliance to organizational policy and in

· collaboration with management team, recommends methods for quality improvement

Minimum Qualifications:

· Must have a graduate in Management, ,Health Administration, or similar. (PhD preferred)

· Must have more than 5 years of experience.

· Must have previous experience within a leadership role; minimum of 5 year of management experience

· Must have an understanding about state licensing requirements and joint commission accreditation

· Must be able to procure goods and services for the company at the best value regarding quality and price

· Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.

· Must be able to relay information concerning a client's condition.

· Knowledge of the fundamentals of addiction and evidence-based addiction treatment.

· Special consideration is given to applicants with previous experience in residential treatment.

· Ability to prioritize and perform with minimal direction

· Computer literate and ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally with clients, administration, the treatment team and family members

· Ability to function independent

· Possess a genuine interest in and concern for persistently chemically dependent persons.

· Possess ability and interest in acquiring professional growth through continuing education.

· Have ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all center personnel, professional staff, representatives from government and community agencies, clients and their families, and the public.

· Demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn and implement government regulations.

· Demonstrate a willingness and ability to implement center policies.

· Be willing and able to accept and utilize close supervision from Executive Director.

· Be able to learn and utilize budget planning and implementation procedures.

Licenses or certifications:

CPR/First Aid (Preferred)
