Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold a current School Psychologist credential or eligibility for certification
- Graduate degree (Ed.S., MA, or PhD) from an accredited program in school psychology
- Previous experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a public school setting
- Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
- Excellent communication and consultation abilities
- Commitment to culturally responsive practices and equity in education
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEPs and eligibility determinations
- Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling when necessary
- Advocate for students’ wellbeing, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical guidelines
- Offer expertise on behavioral management and evidence-based practices schoolwide
