Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.What You Will DoIdentify opportunities for automation (assembly, inspection, test, and logistics).Document requirements through collaboration with factory/program stakeholders.Provide technical leadership to projects executed internally or in collaboration with suppliers.Integrate software (PLCs, robotics, vision system, smart tools, etc) and hardware (sensors, actuators, servos, etc) to create or upgrade solutions.Perform system validation testing for acceptance and production prove-inProvide troubleshooting and debug support for production systems.Contribute to the overall manufacturing technology strategy for the business.What You Will LearnThis role merges technical, manufacturing, and business knowledge to drive new innovations across Raytheon. The role has a foundation in controls programming but offers significant opportunities for growth through applications development, technical leadership, and coordination across functions to execute initiatives. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative and diverse team of engineers and leaders.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations/engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, controls engineering, and/or automation engineering; or 3+ years with an advanced STEM degree in Engineering.Experience with automation mechanisms, sensors, controls, robotics, and/or vision systemsExperience in PLC and HMI programming (Rockwell preferred)Qualifications We PreferFanuc Robotics experienceAbility to manage and execute small to medium scale automation projects with minimal oversightKeyence, Cognex, or iRVision experienceSoftware programming (Ignition platform, Python, MSSQL)Experience in control system design and documentation (AutoCAD Electrical)Strong knowledge of manufacturing or process automationActive DoD Secret ClearanceWhat We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
