NuWest is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant for an 8 or 12-week contract in Harlowton, Montana. This role spans a combination of outpatient and skilled swing-bed inpatient settings, offering variety within a MondayFriday daytime schedule. With a manageable caseload of up to 8 patients per day, this is a strong fit for a PTA looking to make a meaningful impact in a rural community care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist across outpatient and skilled swing-bed inpatient settings.
• Provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and functional mobility training to a caseload of up to 8 patients per day.
• Monitor and document patient progress, communicating findings and adjusting approaches in coordination with the supervising PT.
• Accurately document patient care, treatment interventions, and outcomes in Cerner EMR.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and safe mobility and transfer techniques.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate treatment and support discharge planning for swing-bed patients.
• Maintain a clean, safe therapy environment and ensure proper use and upkeep of therapeutic equipment.
• Adhere to facility policies, Montana state practice standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license valid in Montana.
• Experience in outpatient and/or skilled nursing or swing-bed inpatient settings.
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR or ability to learn quickly.
• Background check and drug screening required.
