Position Summary:


JGMS Government Services is looking to hire an electrical engineer that will work within a project team environment to support construction projects. This position is full-time and will be performed on-site in Niskayuna, NY.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with a project team to develop specifications, cost estimates, drawing reviews, and provide engineering support during the construction phase for buildings and utility projects.
• Oversee architectural engineering firms in developing concept designs, construction documents, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate and interact with facility staff and contractors.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of science in electrical engineering.
• 5-10+ years experience performing electrical engineering tasks including the development of contract documents, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Working knowledge of building codes and standards.
• Experience in construction administration (submittal review, RFI's, construction inspections, etc.).
• Ability to obtain DOE L security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

• EIT certificate and/or PE license
• Engineering consulting experience
• Working knowledge of NEC

Security Clearance:


Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L security clearance.


Background Check and Screenings:

Salary Description


$110,000 - $130,000 annually
