Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekend Shifts Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting, monitoring and managing patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
• Assess and respond to changes in patient condition, initiating appropriate interventions as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient transitions from the PACU
• Document patient assessments, care provided, and outcomes accurately within the electronic health record system
• Participate in facility emergency response protocols as directed by unit management when emergency events occur

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience required
• Current AHA-issued BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NURSYS report must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date) and submitted with profile
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (address on driver's license used for verification)
• Must be available for weekend shifts with no excessive time-off requests; all RTO must be disclosed at time of interview

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system strongly preferred
• Experience with 4x10-hour shift scheduling preferred
• Candidates with extensive PACU experience and Epic proficiency will be given priority consideration for first-time travelers
