The Experienced School Bus Driver position at Eagle Bus Service involves safely transporting elementary, high school and middle school students in Charlotte, NC. The role requires operating a school bus during morning and afternoon routes, ensuring the safety and well-being of students while maintaining schedules and order on the bus. The position is full-time, with a split shift from Monday to Friday, and offers a competitive hourly wage.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, split shift (Morning & Afternoon routes)
• Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week
• Pay: $20/hr (Drivers)
• Location: Charlotte, NC
• Employment Type: W-2, weekly pay

REQUIREMENTS (Drivers)

• CDL: Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
• Driving Record:
  • No more than 1 moving violation in the past 12 months
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 5 years
  • No DWI in the past 5 years; maximum of 1 DWI ever
  • No license suspension/revocation in the past 5 years
  • For residents of NC for less than 5 years: must provide acceptable driving record from former state of residence

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Safe Operation: Drive the school bus safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws, policies, and procedures. Perform pre/post-trip inspections, ensure bus cleanliness, and report maintenance needs.
2. Student Transport: Pick up and drop off students according to established routes and schedules. Maintain accurate attendance and promote a safe, respectful environment on board.
3. Discipline & Order: Enforce passenger rules, manage student behavior, and document any incidents.
4. Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
