Growing together.Primary Responsibilities:30% Provide direct patient care for patients undergoing procedures in the imaging suite such as CT, MR, US, Radiography, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine and Cardi Lab where applicable Assist physicians and technologists with patient preparation for proceduresAssists during proceduresGather information. Responsible for appropriate labeling, handling, delivering and tracking of specimens from collection to reportingProvide health education information. Provide post procedure instructionsAEB: skill demonstration, observation, document audits, attendance at educational in-services15% Care of patients: performs technical and supportive patient care skills including, but not limited to: Waived testingRespiratory careMedical emergency responseSafe and effective medication administrationPrioritization of urgent patient care needsIV skills, venipunctureCatheterization skillEKG monitoringAEB: skill demonstration, observation, attendance at educational in-services and log audits5% Infection control: Provides environment to prevent and control the spread of disease within the clinical setting. Including, but not limited to: Orders suppliesMaintains equipment to include departmental crash cart according to established clinic guidelinesAdheres to Clinic safety standards for employees, patients, and visitorsIdentifies and reports potential barriers for the safe provision of patient care and maintains a safe patient environmentSupports initiatives related to OSHA and accreditation standardsAEB: Physical survey of exam rooms. Maintenance of cleaning logs. Survey for non-functional equipmentObservation, skills demonstration. Participation in PI initiatives5% Familiar with specifics related to MR, CT, US, radiography, nuclear medicine, cardi-lab, and needle biopsies Cognizant of radiation hazards and safe practices. AEB: Observation in work area, in-service attendanceYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Graduate of an approved RN nursing programCurrent and valid RN licenseBCLS certificationCPR, oxygen administration and intravenous therapy2+ years of experience as a practicing RNCompetent in the use of equipment and related supplies for selected patient populationProven excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in nursingSpecialty nursing certification applicable to medical imagingACLS certification2+ years of nursing experience in a medical imaging departmentWindows computer experience, RIS experiencePay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $35 - $63 per hour based on full-time employment.
