Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced CDL Class A Driver Operator for transporting heavy industrial equipment across multiple states. This is a hands-on role requiring experience hauling oversized equipment such as cranes while assisting crews at customer job sites.

We are seeking skilled drivers with experience operating Flatbed, Step Deck, and Low Boy trailers who are comfortable traveling overnight and supporting equipment loading and unloading operations.

This is not an entry-level driving position; real heavy haul experience and strong tenure are required.

Responsibilities

As a CDL Driver Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating Class A trucks with Flatbed, Step Deck, and Low Boy trailers .
• Transporting heavy industrial equipment , including cranes and oversized machinery.
• Traveling OTR throughout multiple states for customer and job site deliveries.
• Assisting crews with loading, unloading, staging, and setup of equipment at job sites.
• Securing loads properly using chains, binders, straps, and other securement equipment.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections .
• Following all DOT regulations and safety procedures .
• Maintaining delivery paperwork, logs, and equipment documentation.
• Communicating effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and job site personnel.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of equipment and trailers.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A License REQUIRED .

• Proven experience operating:- Flatbed trailers

  • Step Deck trailers
  • Low Boy trailers

• Experience hauling heavy equipment or cranes REQUIRED .

• Comfortable with OTR travel and overnight stays .

• Ability to assist with loading and unloading equipment at job sites .

• Strong understanding of load securement and DOT compliance.

• Tenured and stable work history REQUIRED .

• Must live within 30 minutes of Greensboro, NC .

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Candidates without heavy haul experience or stable work history will not be considered.

• Heavy equipment transportation experience.

• OTR route and logistics experience.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Schedule & Travel

• Full-Time
• OTR / Multi-State Travel Required
• Overnight stays required depending on project location

Pay & Benefits

• $25.00 – $30.00 per hour , based on experience.
