Clinical Medical Assistant

This role supports a busy clinical practice by providing hands-on patient care, assisting with preoperative preparation, and ensuring treatment rooms and equipment are ready for each visit. The Clinical Medical Assistant works closely with clinicians and patients to deliver a high level of service, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a welcoming and professional environment. Responsibilities

• Sterilize instruments and prepare surgical trays in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Ensure treatment rooms remain clean, stocked, and organized before, during, and after patient visits.
• Chart and document patients' vital signs and medical histories accurately in the electronic health record.
• Assist with preoperative preparation and support clinicians during clinical procedures as needed.
• Provide compassionate, professional patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive, welcoming environment for all patients, including high-end clientele.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, clinicians, and team members in both English and Spanish.
• Collaborate with colleagues as a team player to support daily clinic operations and shared goals.
• Uphold all clinical policies, procedures, and safety standards, including proper infection control and instrument handling.
• Demonstrate reliability and commitment to the role, with an interest in long-term employment.
• Participate in performance reviews, including a 90-day probationary period focused on performance and fit within the team.

Essential Skills

• 12 years of experience working in a clinical setting.
• Hands-on experience with medical assisting and patient care in a clinical role.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Phlebotomy skills and comfort with blood draws.
• Strong customer service skills and a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to chart vital signs and medical histories accurately and efficiently.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly in both languages.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliability, professionalism, and a desire to stay in the role long term.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Medical Assistant (MA) diploma preferred but not required.
• Experience preparing surgical trays and assisting with preoperative procedures.
• Warm, bubbly personality that helps put patients at ease.
• Ability to interact confidently and professionally with high-end clients.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort working in a results-oriented environment with performance-based incentives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rego Park, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
