Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with a strong background in pipe fitting and plumbing to join a small, close-knit maintenance team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for long-term stability, professional growth, and a team-oriented work environment.
The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance, plumbing, pipe fitting, or related industrial experience and be comfortable working with PVC piping, threaded pipe, pumps, conveyors, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pipe fitting and plumbing maintenance throughout the facility
- Approximately 90% PVC and blue piping/threading and 10% galvanized or black steel pipe
- Thread pipe using a RIDGID pipe threader
- Install, repair, and modify piping systems
- Work with primers and adhesives
- Troubleshoot and clear plumbing clogs
- Perform general mechanical maintenance, including nuts, bolts, and equipment repairs
- Disassemble and repair conveyors and other production equipment
- Tear down and rebuild instruments using schematics
- Replace and service pumps
- Assemble and disassemble double diaphragm pumps
- Install and assemble flanges using nuts and bolts
- Assist with pump assembly and repair
- Assemble instrumentation and follow mechanical/electrical schematics
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance
- Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant maintenance, plumbing, or pipe fitting experience
- Strong hands-on pipe fitting and plumbing experience
- Experience working with PVC piping
- Ability to properly thread pipe, not just assemble pre-threaded components
- Ability to read and understand schematics
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Ability to use common hand and power tools
- Strong attention to safety and quality
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team
LOTO experience is a plus, but not required. Training is provided.
