Assistant Food Service Administrator

Marana Detention Center | Marana, AZ $36.09 per hour | Full-time Use your skills to manage the custody and security of detainees in the facility in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives. You will directly supervise the cook II and directs the work of detainees assigned to the food service area. Why join the MTC team? Maintain kitchen equipment in orderly workable condition. Ensure work area is safe, clean and sanitary always. Exercise judgement and use discretion when responding to incidents and determine whether to intervene or call security staff. Prepare foods as directed for special facility functions and visitors. Assist in cleaning kitchen work areas following each meal. Direct the work of detainees assigned to the food service area. Maintain the count and control of knives and other controlled kitchen tools. Provide a count of all control items at the beginning and end of each shift. Responsible for the security of the food service area. Requires the pushing and pulling of food carts. Regular and predictable onsite attendance is required. Incumbents are required to work overtime when directed to do so. What you will need High school diploma or GED Two years of food service experience Food service training Valid food handler’s permit US citizenship or lawful US permanent resident Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record Must successfully complete required preservice training post-hire At MTC, we care about people and believe meaningful work can create lasting impact.
