We're committed to giving children back their childhood!Location: Frisco - Ambulatory Surgical CenterMonday - Friday8-hour day shiftsDuties/Responsibilities:Provide direct, quality patient care by utilizing critical thinking and evidence-based practiceFoster positive patient/family experience in support of organizational efforts related to clinical-care delivery, customer service, and issue resolutionFunction as role model for team and organization in terms of behavior, communication, and performanceDevelop and maintain an effective working relationship with peers, departmental leadership, and the interdisciplinary teamAssist with day-to-day operations, including assisting staff with timely patient throughput and acting as a resource to & providing support for team membersAct as a liaison between departmental leadership and the team, keeping leadership apprised of concerns, feedback, suggestions, and educational needsActively participate in departmental and/or organization-wide committees or task forces by proposing, supporting, and/or leading process improvement and organizational changes in collaboration with leadershipCollaborate with departmental leadership in reviewing policy to ensure policy aligns with best practices and regulatory changesEnsure departmental regulatory readiness by collaborating with departmental leadershipPerform audits and collaborate with departmental leadership on action plans to meet goalsManage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and oversee weekly payrollComplete yearly performance evaluations for direct reportsAssist departmental leadership with interviewing and hiring process for new employeesAssign preceptor to new hires and collaborate with departmental leadership and educator to develop training planAll other duties as assigned by departmental leadershipRequired Skills/Abilities:Associate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferredCurrent Texas RN license or eligible for a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners2 or more years nursing experience requiredPediatric experience preferredAmerican Heart Association BLS certification requiredPALS certification required or within 6 months of hireCompetent in Windows OS and use of Electronic Medical Record (EMR), EPIC experience preferredWorking Environment:Working Conditions: InsideWorking Position: Sitting, Standing, and WalkingPhysical Demands: Sedentary and LightPhysical Requirements: Lifting/Carrying, Pushing/Pulling, Crawling, Stooping/Kneeling/Bending, and Repetitive MovementsLifting or carrying between 35-50 lbs.Sensory/Communicative activities essential to the performance of this position: Hearing, Seeing, Feeling, Smelling and SpeakingThis position will be exposed to Inside Environments, Bloodborne Pathogens and Respiratory Hazards
