Production Scheduler

Job Description Job Description The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing detailed production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources and on-time delivery of products. This role translates demand and master production plans into executable schedules, balancing capacity, material availability, and operational constraints to support stable and reliable production execution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed daily, weekly, and short-term production schedules based on demand plans, MPS, and capacity constraints.
Release, sequence, and prioritize production orders in coordination with manufacturing, materials, and logistics teams.
Monitor production progress and schedule adherence, identifying deviations and taking corrective actions as needed.
Coordinate with Materials Management to ensure material availability aligned with production schedules.
Adjust schedules in response to changes in demand, capacity, material shortages, or operational issues.
Communicate production schedules, changes, and priorities clearly to manufacturing and support teams.
Track and analyze production scheduling KPIs such as schedule adherence, lead time, and WIP levels.
Maintain accurate planning and execution data in ERP and scheduling systems.
Participate in planning meetings and daily/weekly production reviews.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve scheduling accuracy, production stability, and planning processes.
Ensure compliance with planning standards, procedures, and data integrity requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in production scheduling, production planning, or supply chain planning roles.
Solid understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, and manufacturing processes.
Experience working with ERP systems and planning tools (e.g., SAP, APS systems).
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data and KPIs.
Microsoft Dynamics Experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) or similar is a plus.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
Experience supporting MPS or S&OP processes.
