This is a unique opportunity to combine clinical practice, academic leadership, and program development within a growing, mission-driven health system. Position Highlights Leadership Role: Serve as Program Director for an ACGME-accredited Hematology-Oncology Fellowship (6 fellows by 2026), shaping the next generation of oncologists Balanced Schedule: 70% clinical / 30% administrative and academic responsibilities Growing Program: Lead expansion efforts across two cancer centers serving a rapidly growing population Collaborative Team: Join 7 Hematology-Oncology physicians and 6 APPs in a collegial, team-based environment Advanced Cancer Care: Access to clinical trials, multidisciplinary care, and Penn Cancer Network collaboration Clinical Practice General Hematology-Oncology role with no required subspecialization Practice across two modern cancer centers (Kent & Sussex campuses) Strong APP support and integrated inpatient coverage model EPIC EMR system Leadership & Academic Responsibilities Direct and oversee the Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program Develop curriculum, mentor fellows, and ensure ACGME compliance Establish strategic direction and maintain program quality and reputation Lead faculty development, research initiatives, and educational programming Participate in institutional leadership and graduate medical education committees Compensation & Benefits Compensation Package: Base Salary Leadership Stipend Quality Bonus wRVU Incentives Signing bonus and relocation assistance Comprehensive benefits including malpractice with tail, retirement plan, and CME Generous PTO: 26 days + holidays + CME time Candidate Requirements Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology Minimum 3 years of faculty experience in an ACGME-accredited program Demonstrated leadership in academic or multidisciplinary cancer program Commitment to clinical excellence, education, and program development About Bayhealth Not-for-profit, technologically advanced healthcare system with 5,000+ employees and 450+ physicians Member of the Penn Cancer Network with access to leading-edge research and innovation Two hospital campuses plus a growing network of outpatient and specialty services Why Delaware?
