Registered Nurse - Surgical Intensive Care Unit - Part Time

Role: The Staff Nurse provides highly professional, technical nursing care within a fast-paced healthcare environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care. Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring quality and safety. Supervise and collaborate with team members to deliver age-appropriate care in accordance with standards. Communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff to promote understanding and a therapeutic environment. Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies. Support educational initiatives for patients, families, and staff. Take initiative for personal and professional growth, fostering a collaborative and improvement-focused environment. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Current nursing license in Texas. Basic Life Support certification; additional certifications as required. Minimum of 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency. Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care. Ability to work with confidential information and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
