Radiology Technologist

General job duties. Types of procedures required. Diagnostic radiology (x-ray) and CT. Stroke certified facility.

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) CT Client Optima 660, Digital xray room Client Optima xr646, digital portable x-ray Client Optima 220 Charting- Epic Radiant (EMR), PACs Philips.

Required skills and minimum years of experience. Able to multitask. Proficient in diagnostic imaging and CT.

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) ARRT, CPR, IN state license.

Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) No call. Approximately every 4th/5th weekend.

Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) No floating.

Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 30 bed inpatient facility opens in January. Currently 13 ED beds and walk-in outpatients.

Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) NA.

Dress Code: Pewter/dark grey scrubs.

Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Parkview New Hire Orientation, EPIC training (our EMR system), department orientation and computer based learning.

Additional comments: Additional 2nd shift responsibilities are stocking and prepping for the next day. Working up future outpatient CT scans, prepping charts.
