Supervisor, Quality Assurance

Position Summary Develop, implement and sustain the quality systems required to assure the delivery of products and services that exceed total quality requirements. Lead the facility in the application of total quality activities that result in continuous process improvements and reduce total cost. Responsible for maintaining ISO9001, AS9100 and Military QPL maintenance programs, such as Mil-PRF-39010, Mil-PRF-27. Key Responsibilities Manage and lead a portion of the Quality department team. Oversee incoming quality and regulation of supplier performance, quality, and scrap. Develop and drive customer‑specific quality requirements. Interface with suppliers to resolve quality problems by determining root cause and corrective actions. Lead the quality team’s efforts to improve internal quality. Implement sustainable quality processes in production. Support Manufacturing, Sales and Customer Service in resolving quality problems and implementing corrective actions. Drive customer‑specific quality problems using FBS processes and tools. Embrace and utilize the Daily Management Process. Develop audit programs and procedures for all levels of audit activity. Assure consistency of purchased components through vendor certification, acceptance criteria, and product monitoring. Provide support and information for new and sustaining product development, focusing on quality processes, tooling, and fixtures aimed at one‑piece flow. Maintain ISO and AS9100 quality systems. Qualifications United States citizen. Demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects involving cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and technical presentation skills. Highly organized and task‑focused, requiring little to no supervision. Excellent project management skills. Proficiency with common software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project. Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent years of experience. 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience. Supervisory or management experience (a plus). Prior quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with military specifications beneficial. Variation reduction and problem‑solving skills. Mathematical and statistical analysis abilities. Experience using and maintaining inspection equipment. Salary Expected Base Salary Range: $76,000 – $106,000. Physical Demands Regular use of hands and arms; frequent standing, walking, and sitting; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. Requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Noise level usually moderate. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical and complex problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
