Careers Manager on Duty The Manager on Duty is the responsible staff person on the Barry Family Campus. Responsibilities And Duties Group Fitness Create and manage monthly schedule of classes Support instructors by managing coverage of open classes Hire, onboard, train, and mentor instructors Bi Weekly payroll entry Work with Health and Wellness Director to plan and execute special programming for the department such as group fitness events, Silver Sneaker Programs, and other Health and Wellness related workshops Fitness Desk Create and manage monthly fitness desk and manager on duty staff shift schedule Support staff by managing coverage of any open shifts Hire, onboard, train, and mentor staff Bi Weekly payroll entry of fitness desk and manager on duty hours Ensure all desk staff are up to date on fitness desk procedures Serve as back-up to membership tours and assist members/visitors Sasha’s Playspace Create and manage monthly staff schedule Support Sasha’s staff by managing the coverage of any open shifts Hire, onboard, train, and mentor staff Support and manage user relationships, including conflict-resolution, and staff support Ensure Sasha’s space is stocked with appropriate supplies and replace as needed Qualifications And Requirements Group fitness Certification 2 years of prior management experience Committed to serving the community, the membership of JCC and each other Excellent customer service and problem solving skills Assertive, responsible, outgoing, enthusiastic, energetic and pleasant personality Maintain a positive and courteous attitude at all times Must have the ability to multi-task Clear and effective communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as being able to collaborate effectively with colleagues to effectively problem solve Computer literacy and knowledge of applicable programs Ability to take initiative in case of an emergency CPR and First Aid certified within 90 days of employment #J-18808-Ljbffr
