Details for the position are as follows: Job Title: Biomarker Associate I – Location: South San Francisco, CA (100% Onsite) – Pay Rate: $39–$41/hr – Duration: Contract Job Description The Biomarker Associate I provides sample management support for ligand binding analysis and FACS‑based biomarker laboratories supporting preclinical and clinical studies across oncology, neuroscience, immunology, and virology programs. This role serves as the primary point of contact for bio‑sample operations, coordinating sample collection, tracking, storage, transfer, reconciliation, and data management activities while ensuring compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements. Education Bachelor's degree in Biology, Pharmacology, Life Sciences, or related scientific discipline 1–3 years of industry experience in sample management, clinical research, biomarker operations, or biospecimen handling Required Skills Clinical and preclinical biospecimen management Sample receipt, accessioning, tracking, and reconciliation Sample shipping, transfer, and chain‑of‑custody management LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) GLP, GCP, and ICH compliance Clinical sample inventory management Biospecimen storage and handling Large dataset management using Microsoft Excel Clinical data entry and sample documentation Vendor and CRO sample coordination Human biological sample processing and tracking Clinical research operations support Laboratory sample lifecycle management Biomarker study support Data integrity and quality control Preferred Skills Experience supporting ligand binding assay or biomarker laboratories FACS/flow cytometry sample management support Oncology, immunology, neuroscience, or virology research experience LN2 freezer inventory and storage management HIPAA and Human Subject Protection knowledge Clinical trial sample operations experience Laboratory vendor management and invoice review Process improvement within sample management workflows Advanced Excel reporting and data analysis Experience with multi‑site clinical studies and biospecimen logistics #J-18808-Ljbffr The Fountain Group
